What does Valo’s end-of-life mean?
Valo’s end-of-life refers to the point at which support for the Valo Intranet and Valo Connect services will stop. This is currently planned for July 31, 2025. At that point, the services will no longer receive any new features, updates or bug fixes – they’ll essentially be discontinued.
1. Why is Valo being discontinued?
The main reason Valo is being discontinued is that the company that created it, Valo Solutions, was acquired by Staffbase in November 2021. Staffbase is a leader in internal communication platforms, and they want to focus their efforts on further developing their own solution. Rather than continuing to support two separate platforms, they decided to discontinue Valo Intranet and Valo Connect going forward.
2. What does this mean for existing Valo customers?
For current Valo customers, the end-of-life means that the Valo Intranet and Valo Connect services will no longer receive support after July 31, 2025. This includes:
- No new features or enhancements
- No updates to fix bugs or security issues
- No technical support
Essentially, the services will remain in their current state with no further development work done. Customers will need to migrate to alternative solutions to continue receiving support and a modern internal communication platform.
